$45 million Postdoc Program for Diverse Scientists

The $45 million Invent@SC Postdoctoral Scholars Program seeks to train the next generation of early career scientists from backgrounds historically underrepresented in or excluded from biotech. With our commitment to equity and inclusion, we are seeking to reach traditionally underrepresented scientists, including but not limited to people of color, LGBTQIA+, women, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Invent@SC scholars may choose lab mentors from Seattle Children’s, University of Washington, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, and Benaroya Research Institute. World renowned biotech leaders and clinicians will serve as co-mentors. The Scholars will also complete relevant coursework and participate in development activities that will further equip them for the business side of biotechnology.

Scholars accepted into the program will receive:

  • competitive salary for 3 years with potential for years 4-5
  • full employment benefits
  • $10k for professional development
  • up to $7.5k for relocation expenses

Those who are interested can fill out this form to be invited to an Invent@SC info session and offered an opportunity to apply.
