Job description: Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt University Medical Center are thrilled to announce the initiation of our Vanderbilt FIRST (Faculty Institutional Recruitment for Sustainable Transformation) faculty cohort recruitment! Vanderbilt-FIRST (V-FIRST) is part of the NIH’s FIRST Program, which aims to help institutions build a diverse community of scientists by recruiting early-career faculty with a demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence.
Currently, we are seeking exceptional early-career researchers to join our vibrant science community. Faculty will be recruited in several rounds of clusters of up to 8 individuals.

Candidates must have research expertise in one of the following areas:
Immunology, Inflammation, and Metabolism or Neuroscience. -
Candidates must be committed to inclusive excellence, and we strongly encourage individuals from marginalized racial and ethnic groups and other underrepresented groups to apply.

Candidates must have either a PhD or MD (or equivalent, MD/PhD, PhD, PharmD, DrPH or other doctoral degrees in relevant sciences), and should not have previously held a tenure-track Assistant Professor (or equivalent level) position.
